Dear 1199

Training & Upgrading Fund,

I would like to thank you all for your support over the last five years while pursuing my nursing degree. It has been a long haul. Not only have I survived through six long years (part-time) of nursing school, but most importantly I am proud to say that I have finally accomplished my goal of becoming a Registered Nurse.

The decision to go back to school was not an easy one, especially after being out of high school for over 10 years and also working a full time job. I knew returning to school as an adult would be a very different experience. It would take more brainpower and concentration than I was used to, and a great deal of time and energy. However, after debating about it for some time, I finally put my mind to it and decided to jump in for the long haul. And I'm glad I did!

The overall Nursing Program was not an easy one. It required a lot of heavy reading, developing sharp critical thinking skills, preparing lengthy assignments and studying for tests, tests, and more tests. Now that it's over, I must admit, I really did enjoy the learning experience. As a result, I am planning to return to school within a year or two to go on for my BSN.
