Writings From Words From The Heart 2 - Renee Reid

My father John Million Reid was born in Georgetown, South Carolina on April 18, 1937. He was the son of David and Mary Lou Reid.

My father is my hero for many different reasons. He is the strong, powerful figure in my life. There is nothing my father can not do as far as I am concerned.

I’ve seen my father do many things from restoring cars to building houses. He is what you call a “jack of all trades,” but that is not the most important reason my dad is my hero.

The most important reason I love my father so much is because he’s always been strong, hard working, and a very, very good provider. There’s never been a bad time growing up with my dad.

I thank God every night for letting him be my dad and passing on to me all of his qualities.

Renee Reid
