Tuition Benefits Eligibility

You must be represented by the New England Health Care Employees Union, District 1199NE, and employed by a facility that is participating in and contributing to the Training and Upgrading Fund.

You must have continuously worked at least one year for a participating employer by the application deadline.  You must have worked an average of eight (8) hours per week during the twelve months prior to applying for benefits and continue to work an average of eight hours per week during the semester or module for which you have applied. (20 hours if your CBA requires).  Full and part-time employees are eligible.

Your program of study must have a realistic potential for a full-time position in a healthcare facility.  In addition to Nursing and other Allied Health programs, eligible programs include:

All courses must be taken at an accredited educational institution.
